GOTOForest 2026
Join us in celebrating Greenery Day with the global forest therapy community
GOTOForest began in Japan in 2017 as "Thanks Greenery Day," an invitation to experience the healing presence of forests during the peak of spring greenery. What started as a small gathering in Hachioji, Tokyo, has grown into a nationwide movement—and now, for the first time, an international collaboration. In 2026, forest therapy guides across the globe are coming together to celebrate Greenery Day on the first weekend in May by inviting their local communities to slow down, breathe deeply, and simply be with the trees. Singapore’s forest therapy guides are proud to be part of this global gathering. We warmly invite you to join us for a gentle, sensory walk in one of our beautiful green spaces.
Our Objectives
This is not a commercial event. There are no fees, no formalities—just an open invitation to:
Celebrate Greenery Day in the spirit of its meaning: to appreciate nature and cultivate a rich heart
Connect with community — friends and fellow nature enthusiasts
Experience the forest through your senses, guided by certified ANFT forest therapy guides
Join a global moment of shared appreciation for the living world
Who Can Join To ensure the safety and comfort of all participants, please take note of the following guidelines:
Physical Accessibility: This is a walk in the forest on natural terrain. Participants will be walking at a slow, mindful pace, but the ground may be uneven, with roots, slopes, and occasional steps. Participants must be physically fit and able to walk on uneven ground without assistance. The walk is not suitable for those with mobility challenges or who require walking aids.
Age Requirement: This gathering is offered as a space for adults to immerse in stillness and sensory presence. To honor this intention, we invite participants aged 18 and above. We look forward to hosting family-friendly walks in the future.
A Note on Safety & Responsibility
Our walks take place in Singapore’s green reserves and natural spaces, which are generally safe environments. However, walking on uneven terrain and being in a tropical outdoor setting carries inherent risks. By joining this walk, you acknowledge that you are participating voluntarily and take full responsibility for your own well-being. We recommend consulting your doctor if you have any health concerns that may affect your participation. Forest Therapy Singapore and the guides offering their time and presence shall not be held liable for any injuries, accidents, or health issues that may arise during the walk.

Meet Your Guides
The following certified ANFT forest therapy guides from the Singapore collective are offering their time and presence to walk alongside you. This is not a formal forest therapy session, but a gentle invitation to slow down, be with the trees, and share in the simple joy of being in nature together. Each guide brings their own quiet presence—some may offer small sensory invitations along the way, others may simply walk beside you. Above all, this is a chance to come together as a community and celebrate the forest.
