Beng Hong
ANFT Nature & Forest Therapy Guide
Certified 2025 | ANFT Cohort: Camphor Tree
Beng Hong has always been drawn to people and their stories. She began her career as a TV producer for current affairs programmes before moving into Singapore’s Public Service, where she worked in the Tourism and Arts sectors. These experiences nurtured her curiosity about people, places, and the connections that shape our lives.
Her passion for supporting others eventually led her to counselling. Today, Beng Hong is a Registered Counsellor with the Singapore Association for Counselling and works full-time in the correctional rehabilitation sector. She is also a certified Multichannel Eye Movement Integration (MEMI) Practitioner, maintaining a private practice supporting clients experiencing anxiety and trauma.
Beng Hong first embarked on her ANFT training to complement her counselling practice. Along the way, she discovered that Forest Therapy was not just something to offer others, but also a practice she came to value personally. She continues to leave each walk feeling refreshed and renewed, and it is especially meaningful when participants share that they, too, leave her guided walk feeling calmer, more present, or with a renewed perspective.
As a certified ANFT Forest Therapy Guide, Beng Hong offers regular public walks as well as private walks tailored for families, community groups, and corporate organisations. Her guiding style is grounded, thoughtful, and curious. Drawing on her experience as a counsellor, she creates a welcoming space where participants are free to explore nature in their own way, with curiosity and without expectation.
She believes that nature has something different to offer each of us, and that meaningful moments often emerge when we simply allow ourselves the time and space to notice.
