ANFT Nature & Forest Therapy Guide
Certified 2025 | ANFT Cohort: #144 Dragon’s Blood Tree
Jake’s journey into this work began with his first forest therapy experience in Singapore at the former Bay East Park, now the site of the Founders’ Memorial, in 2022. What stayed with him was not just the photos, but the quality of presence that nature invited. It offered a different pace, one that felt unfamiliar at first, yet deeply needed.
Over time, that experience changed the way he relates to nature, to others, and to himself. What began as a personal exploration gradually became a calling to accompany others as they discover their own relationship with the living world.
As a guide, Jake offers invitations that encourage participants to slow down, notice, and engage with nature in ways that feel authentic to them. His sessions are not about learning about nature, but about being with it, allowing each person’s experience to unfold in its own time.
Alongside his practice as a forest therapy guide, Jake is also trained in Therapeutic Horticulture. Together, these practices have deepened his appreciation for the many ways people cultivate connection and reciprocity with the living world, whether through walking with a forest, tending a plant, or simply pausing long enough to notice what is already present. He believes that as we care for our relationship with nature, nature quietly cares for us in return.
Jake values choice, spaciousness, and gentle curiosity in his guiding. He is guided by a simple intention: to create space for people to reconnect, arrive in presence, and allow nature to meet them exactly where they are.
